Detailed project proposal of a technological workplace in the company Kovo Poláček
Věžníková, Tereza ; Neužil, Karel (referee) ; Strejček, Jan (advisor)
The presented masters’s thesis deals with the design of a new production hall for the metalworking and with the proposal of a facility for the powder coating in the company Kovo Poláček in Nesvačilka. The solution is preceded by a literature search of the designing and explanation of some basic concepts in the subject matter. The part of this thesis is an analysis of the current situation of the company including an analysis of its internal and external environment affecting the company. The result of this thesis is the creation of the layout with respect to safety and ergonomics, verified by the calculation of capacity for a typical product, as well as an economic evaluation of the investment.
Surface treatments in light industry
Dokoupilová, Dita ; Vyplašil, Evžen (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis, written in the subjekt B2341 within the bachelor study, deals with analysis of application of powder plastics. The powder coating is a plastic layer technology used on metal materials. The main aim is a corrosion protection. The thesis contains an analysis of particual surface pre-treatments methods suitable for powder coating, the description of several color systems, the chemical analysis of the powder colours being used today and the typical opportunities of use. This thesis includes also the description of the setting process and several types of baking ovens.
Optimization of surface pretreatment of steel and aluminum alloy for subsequent application of powder paint
Běloch, Martin ; Březina, Matěj (referee) ; Wasserbauer, Jaromír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with various procedures of surface pretreatment of steel and aluminum alloy for subsequent application of powder coating substance. The work begins with an overview of the general characteristics of the materials used. The core part of the work is then a summary of the individual methods of pretreatment that can be used to modify the material surface. A special chapter is devoted to methodologies for the application of powder substances. Before separate application, the sample must first be carefully pretreated to ensure removal of organic compounds (e.g. oils from primary processing - grinding, cutting), or dust impurities to ensure the correct barrier effect. After dividing the individual methods of surface preparation, a powder paint system with a total thickness of approximately 50 µm is applied to the test material. Samples with different surface pretreatments will be compared both in terms of mechanical properties and in terms of electrochemical properties.

Environmental Impact Assessment for Powder Coating Technology
Havlíček, Lukáš ; Mukhametzianova, Leisan (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on evaluating an environmental impact of using LCA methodology. LCA is a methodology of powder varnishing. The first part of the thesis is concerned with technologies modifying metal surfaces. An analysis of LCA technology was executed and a technological process was described. As a part of theoretical part, a description of available methods evaluating environmental impact was made. According to description the LCA methodology was chosen. In practical part of the thesis an analysis of material and energetic inputs of each process was made.
The Choice of the Suitable Hardening Solution for Powder Coating
Donabauer, Petr ; Blažek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the comparison and selection of a suitable system of curing powder coatings. The work includes a literature review focused on the issue of powder coating. In the experimental part of the work will be carried out techno-economic analysis of the suitability of each technology for curing parts in a conventional and catalytic infrared oven.
On the effect of lacquer-setting technology on the quality of a joint
Smékal, Jan ; Petrenec, Martin (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis is divided into two parts. At first it deals with the process of powder coating technology, gluing technology and rubber. Then the thesis continues with the experimental part, which includes process of making glued joints and evaluation of tensile test of those glued joints. The effect of lacquer-setting technology on quality of a joint cannot be reliably evaluated based on results achieved from tensile test. Analysis of results was made as well as suggestion for improvements of experiment for future thesis.
Modern treatments by powder paints
Blažek, Jaroslav ; Kovář, Petr (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis was written in the subject B 2341 within the bachelor studies. It deals with the analysis of finishing treatment with the powder plastics. The growth of innovations has recently been registered in this field. The thesis contains analysis of particular surface pre-treatment methods suitable for powder coating. Next, there is the powder plastics analysis and their application methods. The setting process description and the description of several color systems used today are also part of the work.
Optimization of powder-coating process resulting in a reduction of labor intensity of finishing components in gas insulated substation - GIS
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Strejček, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the optimization of powder-coating process resulting in a reduction of labor intensity during finishing components in gas insulated switchgear (GIS). The thesis is divided into five main chapters that describe characteristic and function of gas insulated switchgear (GIS), the theory of powder-coating, including mechanical and chemical pretreatment of surfaces, the studies of contemporary quality of coating process in the company ABB s.r.o. with classification of components of GIS according to their function. This chapter also contains detailed analysis of section of coating process during the processing of selected parts (housing and conductor). The thesis also contains detailed studies of masking of surfaces at coating parts, specifies the most common defects and determines the main cause presented in a well-arranged chart, design, description and realization of optimization solutions with selection and evaluation of final version. An economic comparison of contemporary condition of powder-coating process with designed optimization solution is stated at the end of the thesis.
